INPC2004 belongs to the series of highly important nuclear physics conferences sponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) held every three years. The last conferences have been held in Berkeley (2001), Paris (1998), Beijing (1995), Wiesbaden (1992) and Sao- Paulo (1989).

The location of the next INPC will be decided by the IUPAP C12 Commission of Nuclear Physics during this conference.
