The International Nuclear Physics Conference, INPC2004, is the 22nd in
the series of triennial, nuclear physics conferences since the start in
Chicago 1951. A new concept is created with the aim to satisfy both
those who prefer a broad palette of overview talks and those who give
priority to any of the specific sub fields of modern nuclear physics. The morning sessions will traditionally offer plenary talks while the
afternoons will be devoted to six parallel topical
conferences:
Nuclei and the Standard Model,
Subnucleon Degrees of Freedom, Towards Exotic Nuclei, Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions, Nuclear Astrophysics,
Applications and Technical Developments
The scientific programme is composed to attract
participants, ranging from established world leading scientists to PhD
students, active within theory, experiment and applications.
INPC2004 takes place at Göteborg Convention Centre in
the heart of Göteborg on the scenic Swedish West Coast during a time of
the year with almost 24 hours daylight. An extravagant choice of
excursions into the beautiful countryside, rich of historic sites, and
the archipelago can be offered to conference participants and
accompanying persons.
The INPC2004 of IUPAP is hosted by the Subatomic Physics Group
at Chalmers University of Technology and Göteborg University and
organised jointly by all Nuclear Physics departments at universities in
the Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Looking forward seeing you in Göteborg this summer.
