scanning probe studies. Controlled nanotube growth using CVD techniques
in gas phase and supported catalyst techniques;
Molecular Physics, Prof. Arne Rosen GU/CTH - Molecular dynamics and QM/MM
simulations of carbon nanotube growth and collisional dynamics between
gas molecules and carbon nanotubes. Electronic structure calculations of
carbon nanotube derivatisation and
carbon nanotube - metal electrode linkages;
Microscopy and Microanalysis, Dr. Lena Falk GU/CTH - Electron microscopy
and nanometer-resolved and coordination distribution images, EELS;
Applied Physics-Condensed Matter Theory, Dr. Jari KinaretGU/CTH -Theoretical
analysis of electrical and thermal transport properties of carbon nanotubes.
Exploration of the joint effects of quantum mechanical interference and
electron-electron interactions in finite nanotubes, nanorrelay applications;
Organic Chemistry, Dr. Helena Grennberg UU -Purification (LC) and chemical
